Coastal people:

In the artistic representation of those dwelling at the base of the mountain and along the coastal shores, such as in "Jazan," distinguished by their unique colors and customs, the traditional dance known as "Al-Ardah Al-Jazaniyah" comes to life. With distinctive movements and a dance style mimicking the heartbeat when striking the "Zeer" drum, their swift steps, powerful descent, and ascent create an endless repetition akin to waves. Symbolized through a temporary paper and white fabric sculpture, resembling the accumulation of waves, this figure adorned in the coastal attire engages in a variety of dance movements, forming an expressive tableau as if mirroring the infinite repetition of waves and the one who induces the currents.

Tehama people:

In the artistic portrayal of those dwelling midway up the mountain, such as the residents of "Rijal Alma," distinct in their customs and colors, the traditional dance "Al-Damah" and unique melodies, echoing as if in resonance, come to life. Represented through a temporary paper sculpture, this figure adorned in the attire of the people of Tihama plays the "Safriqah" flute, swaying to the rhythm, forming an expressive tableau. It seems to playfully engage with the ascending currents from the plain, creating a harmonious balance between the coastal and mountainous realms.

Mountain people:

In the artistic depiction of Southern Saudi Arabia, a vibrant dance known as “Al-Ardah” from mountainous regions like Khamis Mushayat comes to life. Symbolized by a temporary paper sculpture, this dance reflects the unique cultural identity of mountain dwellers. The figure in traditional attire performs a dynamic dance, expressing freedom and a timeless connection to the mountains, depicted through a sculptural interplay of wind-swept movements near the mountain's edge. The ephemeral nature of the sculpture mirrors the transient beauty of life.

We have always been sons of the mountain.

On the mountain, from the mountain, and to the mountain we will return

In the timeless embrace of the mountain, we, the sons of the summit, traverse a journey that begins and ends with the peaks. Our footsteps and voices, woven into the very fabric of these landscapes, echo from the mountain's pinnacle to the vastness of the sea. Blending with the mountain, we adopt its qualities, speaking with the resonance of its contours, playing the melodies of David's harp, and dancing to the rhythmic beat of distant drums.

As our steps resound, like a heartbeat echoing in the chest of the earth, our souls take flight with the ascending summits. Each pulse, a confirmation of our connection to the sea, resonates with the heartbeats of the Al-Zir, a symbolic dialogue between mountain and sons.

This artistic endeavor captures the essence of three characters embodying the southern regions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and their profound connection to the mountain. The visual narrative unfolds through the portrayal of those dwelling atop the peaks, the denizens of the mountainous region of Tehama, and the coastal inhabitants. The dance of folk traditions, intertwined with the distinct hues of each locale, paints a vivid tableau, presenting a unique artistic interpretation for each of these distinctive lives.
